‘Lil Squirt Baby Shower – Elephants

This Elephant themed ‘Lil Squirt Baby Shower was orginally hosted by Ashley from Attention 2 Detail.

I have to say this is the first time I’ve heard this theme.  Am I out of the loop on this one?  Well..I just think it’s adorably clever!  I love the idea of the elephant…and not just because I went to the zoo today and watched a baby elephant play in the water!  I think there is just so much to do with this theme and Ashley did a wonderful job of showcasing it’s potential!  Come on…could that cake be any cuter?

Enjoy this baby shower…..

I have been very busy these last few weeks with back to back events, but I am back with the next week or so off! The baby shower brunch that I put together took place on Saturday and turned out adorable! The mother-to-be loves elephants so I took that into consideration while planning this event. It turned out so cute and all the little details worked so well together! Take a look at the pics…you can find the invite that I sent out for this event here.

Diaper Cake

Mocktail Mimosa’s and Hibiscus drinks made with Squirt soda (to go along with the theme), Orange Juice, & Cranberry Juice.

The Create-A-Crepe bar where guests could add ingredients, in a crepe, to make either a breakfast, lunch, or dessert crepe.

The Cake

I titled the various sauces for the crepes “Squirtables” to carry out the theme of the shower.

Sunny-side up Oreo Pops that are in the above picture, tied with yellow curling ribbon.

Onesie & bib decorating station

Finished Onesies & bibs. The guests did such a great job!

Floral centerpiece that I made

Advice cards for the guests to fill out, along with an envelope for guests to print their address on for the mother-to-be to mail their thank you cards! I love the paperclips and the elephant pens toppers I put together!

But my favorite of all would have to be the guest favors! Such cute little elephant cupcake toppers! Adorable!

Overall it was a fabulous shower. And the mother-to-be loved every minute of it! Can’t wait to meet this little bundle of joy!

Meet the Puppy Party

This Meet the Puppy Party was originally hosted by Posh Pixels.

Ok, I will admit that I’m a cat person….and not so much into dogs.  But dog or no dog…this party rocks!  So bright and cheerful and honestly just a cute idea all together!  So many clever ideas to see for this theme.

Enjoy meeting the puppy….

At the end of February, my husband & I had a “Meet the Puppy” to introduce our family & friends to our new adopted puppy, Ozzy. Ozzy is a lab-sheperd mix & was three months old when we got him. We adopted him from a local rescue shelter.

I was so excited for everyone to meet him & wanted everyone to see him while he was still little, so I thought a small, cute party would be perfect.  I had so much fun planning & decorating Ozzy’s party, & couldn’t of pulled it off without the help of my mom, mother-in-law & husband.

My fabulous mom made the cookies, brownies, chocolate covered pretzels & cupcakes. Aren’t they great? She’s an incredible baker & her cakes always taste amazing. I don’t even think she tells me all her cake-secrets, because my cakes never quite comes out as good as hers lol.

What’s a posh party without fabulous Hershey Kiss stickers? It’s kind of my signature thing. I even added them to the bottom of Reese Cups this time. Stickers were designed & handmade by your’s truly ;)

I packaged some of my mom’s amazing sugar cookies & added a custom favor bag topper for the guest to take home with them.

My mom also made these gourmet dog treats for doggie favors. She’s awesome, right? :)

I filled apothecary jars with dog treats & bones to give the party more of a dog feel to it. I labeled the jars & was sure to put “for the puppy” on each one,  just to be sure no one was confused ;)

My mom ALSO made ALL the tissue paper pom-poms. Amazing. My mother-in-law hung all the pom-poms & helped with the decorating.

My husband & mother-in-law made fabulous sub sandwiches, using amazing bread from Panera. The sandwiches were a huge hit & everyone wanted to know where we “ordered” them from.

The guest of honor had tons of fun at his party & was super excited about all his fabulous gifts. He actually hurt his leg really bad playing with my brother-in-law’s dog the day before the party, so none of his doggie-friends were able to come to the party. He was limping really bad & the vet wanted us to try to keep him as inactive as possible until the swelling went down. Otherwise our house would have been full of dogs that day! What do you think of Ozzy’s party?

Thanks to everyone who came & helped!
And a HUGE special thanks to my mom for all her hard work!
