Movie Theme Birthday Party

This Movie Themed Birthday Party was originally hosted by Our 4tunate Family.

Years ago I was looking through a Wilton cake book and saw a really cute “movie themed” cake and the idea of a movie themed birthday has been in the back of my mind ever since. So I was really excited to get this party submission and see all the fun ideas! The “popcorn cupcakes” are so cute…the invitations are fun…the decor is spot on and the kids were so into it!

Have a look, leave a comment, and then hop on over to Our 4tunate Family to see what else she’s got going on!

Enjoy Our 4tunate Family’s party…..

Well this years Birthday Bash was movie themed. So the idea was for the kids to team up and come up with a movie that they act out in costume etc. Then we watch the movies together on the big screen TV that I set up like a movie theater. It ended up being a lot of fun! Of course boys making movies have to be action packed and they were with lots of wrestling, scary mask and other boystuff. But they really had a good time laughing, joking and poking fun at each other. I made DVD’s of the movies for each of the kids as thank yous and a keepsake from the party.

Here are the invites yes I coped out and bought them this year Wow what a time saver that was! I thought they still had the homemade feel to them.

The movie theater set up I wish I had a better pic. I lined up card table chairs and had a black curtain drawn back to view the show.

The take home favors were plastic popcorn containers filled with popcorn and movie candy. Parents have told me their kids haven’t stop talking about how much fun they had making the movies together.
